About this Performer
Rashaan uses cohesive programming, lecture recitals, and multimedia performances to engage audiences. Each recital is an opportunity for research and the exploration of the music's traditions and history. Currently pursuing a PhD in composing, his thesis will be an original opera for which he will be composer, librettist and conductor. We are excited that Rashaan plans to premier his opera for Toronto audiences at a future Black History Month celebration and we are committed to working with him to help secure the resources to achieve that proud objective.
